In recognition of the 33rd anniversary of national independence, a select group of centenarians, all aged over 100, were awarded the "Shuhrat" medal by decree of the President. Among the honorees was Shakhri opa Teshaboeva, a resident of the Oltiariq district in Fergana region.
Khayrullo Bozorov, the hokim of Fergana region, personally visited Shakhri opa at her residence in the Zilkha neighborhood to present the award. Shakhri opa, born in 1915 in the village of Zilkha, raised three sons and three daughters alongside her late husband, Dekhkonboy ota Teshaboev. She is now the matriarch of a large family, including 27 grandchildren and more than 50 great-grandchildren.
During the visit, Hokim Bozorov presented the "Shuhrat" medal and commemorative gifts on behalf of the President. The discussion focused on the values of a peaceful and prosperous life. Shakhri opa, in a gesture of prayer, expressed her wishes for the continued safety and well-being of the nation and offered her blessings for the President, who she praised for his leadership and commitment to the country.
