The regional governor, Khayrullo Bozorov, together with the regional prosecutor, Bakhtiyor Ismoilov, visited the home of Yorqinbek Odilov, a resident of Shomirza village in the Kushtapa district, who secured a gold medal in para-athletics at the Paralympic Games in Paris. They congratulated the champion’s parents and neighbors on this historic victory.
On September 1st, during the Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, Yo'rqinbek Odilov participated in the javelin throw event in the F57 category, achieving a distance of 50.32 meters, which earned him the gold medal. With this victory, he increased the total number of gold medals for the Uzbek delegation to five.
During a heartfelt conversation, the governor emphasized that the victory achieved by athletes like Yo'rqinbek instills a deep sense of pride and serves as an exemplary model of resilience and determination.
