During the meeting, organizational issues related to the project of establishing a copper electric cable manufacturing plant in the region, financed by Chinese investment, were discussed.
In the initial phase, a large-scale energy project with an investment of $40 million is planned, focusing on the production of copper cables. The project will result in the annual processing of 100,000 tons of copper, fulfilling domestic demand and establishing export channels for the products. Additionally, 500 new jobs are expected to be created.
The regional governor emphasized that necessary support will be provided to the investors to facilitate the implementation of the project. A site in the "Kokand" Technopark was offered, and it was agreed that the project would be executed there. The investors were also informed about the benefits and incentives being provided for the project.
A memorandum and a roadmap were signed between the regional government and China’s Xinjiang Bai Yi Da Construction Investment Co., Ltd. to ensure the realization of the project.
