The Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, welcomed Nurkan Toksoy, co-founder of Turkey’s Senomed International company. The meeting was also attended by entrepreneur Bilal Shirin, who has been contributing to the cooperation between Fergana and Turkish business circles.

A year ago, Senomed International, in collaboration with Meridian Clinic, initiated the establishment of an eye clinic in Fergana with an investment of $2 million. The initial equipment necessary for the treatment of eye diseases has already been delivered, and patients are currently receiving treatment.

During today’s meeting, organizational matters related to the delivery of a second batch of new equipment for the clinic were discussed. Nurkan Toksoy, noting the broad opportunities created in the healthcare sector in Fergana, stated that the company has taken steps to ensure all necessary conditions for patient treatment. He announced that a state-of-the-art laser eye surgery device, not yet available in Uzbekistan, is being brought to Fergana for the first time. Additionally, highly qualified professors specializing in eye diseases will be involved, with efforts underway to enhance their skills in using this advanced equipment. After the successful implementation of the project, a proposal was made to host an international scientific-practical conference on ophthalmology.

Governor Bozorov expressed his gratitude to Nurkan Toksoy for the investment and for providing treatment to patients suffering from eye diseases using cutting-edge medical technology. He assured that all necessary support would be provided for the delivery of the new equipment.

The meeting also included discussions on potential investments in the construction of modern hotels and promising projects in the agricultural sector in the region.
