This year, new cotton-growing technologies are being implemented in the Fergana region, based on the experience of the "Mezon" farming enterprise.
An on-site seminar was held at this farm in the Yazyavan district, where 50 heads of farming enterprises from each district participated, familiarizing themselves with new methods and agro-technologies. The Deputy Governor of the region, Alibek Tursunov, provided participants with detailed information on the new cotton-growing methods and their advantages.
In the afternoon, the seminar continued with the participation of district governors, their deputies in charge of agriculture, and heads of relevant organizations. The Governor of the region, Khayrullo Bozorov, emphasized that the new approaches in cotton cultivation are doubling and even tripling yields, benefiting farmers. He also highlighted that, for the first time this season, 65 cotton harvesters are being utilized, drawing attention to their advantages. In addition, tasks were set for ensuring a high-quality cotton season and wheat planting.
Regional sector heads and district governors observed the cotton fields and the operations of Swan and John Deere harvesters in action. According to estimates, the yield is reaching 70 quintals per hectare.
The event concluded with a recitation of the Qur'an, with prayers for peace and prosperity for the nation and blessings for the farmers.
At the end of the event, the most outstanding cotton pickers were honored.
