An award ceremony for the winners and prizewinners of the “Minister of Defense Cup” boxing competition among military personnel was held at the "Samo" Sports Complex in Fergana City. The event was attended by regional sector leaders, military personnel, and young participants.
The regional governor and head of the military-administrative sector, Khayrullo Bozorov, emphasized that our servicemen, who are serving in the Armed Forces, are setting a commendable example in every aspect. He noted that our resolute soldiers are also achieving significant results in sports. Highlighting the importance of organizing various competitions among the military, he congratulated the winners and prizewinners of the competition on their victory.
Over the course of four days, more than a hundred boxers representing military districts and educational institutions from across the country competed for individual and team championships in nine weight categories. Officers, sergeants, cadets, and conscripted servicemen showcased their skills and sportsmanship in the boxing ring.
The winners and prizewinners were awarded medals, diplomas, and commemorative gifts. In the team standings, the Eastern Military District secured first place.
Commander of the Eastern Military District, Major General Oybek Saidov, presented Khayrullo Bozorov, the regional governor, with a commemorative badge on behalf of the Minister of Defense.
