In the military unit of the Eastern Military District located in Fergana city, newly renovated buildings and facilities have been inaugurated.
The event was attended by the Regional Governor and Head of the Military-Administrative Sector, Khayrullo Bozorov, Commander of the Eastern Military District, Major General Oybek Saidov, representatives of regional sectors, military personnel, and members of the public.
The ceremony commenced with the opening of a newly refurbished residential complex under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Military District, where all necessary conditions have been created to ensure a comfortable service environment.
In his speech, Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that in recent years, extensive measures have been undertaken to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, enhance combat readiness, train military personnel, provide robust social protection, and foster the physical and spiritual development of service members. He highlighted the collaboration between military-administrative sectors in the construction and major renovation of military units, aimed at further improving the infrastructure of military facilities and providing them with modern, comfortable service rooms equipped with all necessary amenities. He added that the newly inaugurated facilities are a testament to the success of these efforts.
Furthermore, major reconstruction works have been completed at the military unit, resulting in the establishment of a history classroom, a cultural center, a museum of glorious history, a sports complex, and several other buildings dedicated to military personnel. The history classroom features rooms dedicated to Jaloliddin Manguberdi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, and representatives of the Jadidism movement. The museum showcases the activities of the military unit over the past years and the service records of its personnel.
Additionally, the training building at the “Fergana” military field training ground has been renovated and put into operation.
Participants of the event familiarized themselves with the conditions in the newly renovated buildings, and the construction workers were presented with commemorative gifts.
