In the Kakir neighborhood of the Kuva district, efforts to transform the area, increase household incomes, and develop entrepreneurship are in full swing. A comprehensive survey of 685 households has been conducted, and steps are being taken to eliminate unemployment by specializing the neighborhood in rose cultivation and seedling production.
Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, together with the Regional Prosecutor, Bakhtiyor Ismoilov, inspected the ongoing work in the neighborhood.
On the previously vacant land in the neighborhood center, a sewing complex that will employ 200 people, a 500-seat wedding hall, 6 cottages, a seven-story residential building, and sports grounds are being established in collaboration with Belarusian partners. In addition, the construction of a new school with a capacity of 990 students is underway.
The governor has also instructed the establishment of an IT center for the youth of the neighborhood.
Iskandar Abdullaev, a resident of the area, has set up a lemon greenhouse that yields an average of 2 tons of produce. Another resident, Ibrohimjon Khoshimov, is engaged in flower cultivation in his greenhouse. The project has garnered interest from residents who have returned from working abroad, with many eager to set up their own greenhouses.
During his visit to local households, Governor Bozorov provided recommendations on effectively utilizing household plots and establishing greenhouses to boost agricultural productivity and generate additional income.
