The Governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with the Secretary General of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization, Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam, in Turkey.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of establishing cooperation in the field of tourism within the region. The Governor provided insights into the ongoing efforts in the fields of investment and tourism, emphasizing that, like other regions of the country, the Fergana Valley holds great potential for tourism, with a favorable infrastructure being developed.
Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam highlighted the organization’s ongoing initiatives and expressed readiness to collaborate with the Fergana region in the tourism sector.
A memorandum of understanding was signed as a result of the discussions.
The D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization comprises eight member states, focusing on collaboration in areas such as agriculture, trade, transport logistics, industrial cooperation, and energy.
