The Governor of the Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held a meeting with José Ramón Bauzá Díaz, Coordinator of the “New Europe” Committee on Transport and Tourism of the European Parliament and a member of the steering group of the European Tourism Task Force.
During the cordial discussion, the guest expressed his admiration for the great opportunities he had witnessed in Fergana and the reforms being undertaken to develop tourism in the region. He noted his participation in forums held in Kokand and emphasized that these forums are beneficial not only for Fergana but also for visitors from various countries.
The meeting covered negotiations across multiple sectors. Future plans were agreed upon regarding travel tourism, pilgrimage tourism, and other tourism directions.
José Ramón Bauzá Díaz, who has also served as a Member of the European Parliament, invited the governor to an international tourism forum scheduled to be held in Spain in February-March next year. He mentioned that leading global business figures are expected to attend and highlighted that this forum could open new opportunities and partnerships for the Fergana region.
Governor Bozorov acknowledged that the proposals made were highly relevant and expressed his intention to continue collaborating and participate in the upcoming forum.
