The Governor of the region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with representatives of the Vision Invest company from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed the company’s plans to build a large logistics center in the region, specializing in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.
Governor Bozorov emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have entered a new phase, noting the activation of inter-regional cooperation. He also acknowledged the joint projects that Vision Invest is currently implementing in Uzbekistan.
The company’s representative, Bajral Abdulrahman, praised the recent reforms in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in contributing to industrial and economic projects in Fergana.
The investors were provided with detailed information about the region’s demographic, socio-economic, industrial, and agricultural potential. They were introduced to the conditions created for investors, including the activities of the “Kokand” Free Economic Zone, emphasizing that each region has its own unique specialization. It was noted that investors could direct their funds into sectors that interest them, and new residential areas are also under construction.
The company representatives agreed to spend two days exploring the region’s opportunities, production capacities, and other sectors. Proposals for new joint projects will be considered in the near future.
Founded in 2002, Vision Invest manages assets valued at $96 billion. The company is a shareholder of ACWA Power and holds a leading position in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman.
