The Governor of the Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, recently met with Karl-Heinz Breitzmann, Chairman of the Bavaria-Uzbekistan Cooperation Society and head of the company “Gold – Diamond – Art Dealer” (CIP), as well as Birger Horndal, manager of “Teamdress Holding GmbH,” both of whom visited as international observers.
During the meeting, discussions focused on upcoming projects planned for the region, including the establishment of a Jewelry Academy, as well as initiatives in culture, tourism, dual education, and renewable energy.
The visitors acknowledged that the recent elections for deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils in the region were conducted transparently and democratically, with active public participation.
Governor Bozorov highlighted the recent strengthening of Uzbekistan-Germany relations, noting the increasing interregional cooperation and growing economic ties.
Karl-Heinz Breitzmann outlined plans for establishing a Jewelry Academy in Fergana, which aims to create 200 jobs in its initial phase, involving an investment of 1.5 million euros. The project will incorporate a dual education model allowing employees to both study and work, with special accommodations planned for individuals with disabilities. Breitzmann also suggested the installation of defibrillators for cardiac care in social facilities across Fergana as a model initiative.
Birger Horndal, manager of “Teamdress Holding GmbH,” emphasized their commitment to continue projects in the region and explore new collaborations in culture, tourism, media, “green energy,” and dual education. Discussions also addressed the expansion of sister-city ties with Hamburg and Munich, promoting Uzbek culture in Germany, and fostering friendship and cooperation.
Governor Bozorov expressed his full support for the projects presented by the German investors and reaffirmed his readiness for partnership.
